Best Prospecti!
We chose the topic for texting and driving, because it is almost an epidemic in this country because many driers think that they multi-task. The thesis is: Texting and driving is very dangerous. It is distracting to the point the causes a big number of fatal accidents, which can lead to prison for the ones that are at fault.
As an example, the picture below shows how a texting and driving accident can occur. A driver cannot be paying attention to their driving and can hit an innocent bystander.

Argument Beyond Pro and Con Comic

Personal Reaction
I’ve always had a difficulty writing argumentative essay because I become bias to what I am arguing about. I belittle the counter argument and focus on why the other side is better, but this comic thus provide information on how to do so.

Professional Reaction
The idea of comic is not completely the best way to approach to introduce the idea of writing about the argument pro and con, because it trails off to another subject. It makes the reading a hustle rather than straight to the point on what is need to be done in able to approach our arguments and counter argument. The best way is to organize the whole essay.

This image is delineating that all essay must have an argument and counterargument. We just have to approach each side clearly and to avoid being bias.

Chapter 7: Exemplification

Personal Reaction
I see examples are a way to support our own arguments. But, not in a way that they are actually significant on what the effect that it produce to our essays. It makes our readers trust as more and believe our arguments or become in our favor by the examples that we use,

Professional Reaction
With the examples that are used, it is important to be aware on the sources of our examples. It has to be trustworthy, because our readers would know if they are. Also, to the readers that are not familiar of our examples would believe us and would provide wrong information to others. In addition, we have to cite or provide the source or example, or it would be considered as plagiarizing. Another type of example is based on our personal experiences; it is a great way to provide an example but to the point that we have correlate this to other examples and analyze it very well.

This image would be an example. If I do not cite this image very well or give the source of this image, it would be considered as plagiarism. This is an example of saying to be careful of citing or else consequences will be given.

Chapter 13-- The Law & Society: A Casebook for Arguments-Persuasion

Personal Reaction
I've always thought that essays are all about the argument, and I think it has always been that way because no matter what are our point or our thesis we have to support it or try to alleviate the effect of the counter argument. However, I have never thought about the idea of persuasion. I did not really see the idea of having evidence as persuading the readers in a variety of ways.

Professional Reaction
One of the important points I saw in the reading is how to favor different type of readers. For a supportive reader, we solidify our argument by giving more supportive points, A wavering reader can be put onto a favor by proving the validity of our position. Also, for the a hostile reader, we need to be realistic with out arguments and other situations that we can assume how can be resolved. The idea of the argumentative essay is that the readers trust us with out opinions and and arguments. Thus, it makes us a way for them to understand an idea or subject.

As example, the argument that is in this picture is cows are in need for transportation and as a way to alleviate our hatred toward ourselves not to kill them. Other arguments that are realistic would be, cows are source for income by giving us milk stocks, and source of pure-grade beef. Without cows, there won't be beef, and no good burgers will be made and will all be missed.

Either- or- Reasoning Logical Fallacy # 2

Either this or that.. Or Are we using that as actual reasoning?
The Either-or-Reasoning Logical Fallacy is focusing on one reasoning for the cause one event. We focus on one idea and use this as the focus of our aspect alluding that this is the main and only cause of one event. We do not think about other alternatives because we become persistent with this that one reason. We simplify a complex issue, and not giving other possibilities to be open. In a way, we are being bias by not being open to other alternative reasons or other aspects. An example, would be the penguin below. The penguin have the logic that penguins are old TV shows because old TV shows are black-and-white and so  are penguins. The penguin excluded other reasoning that there could such as they could be an animal or their evolution process to explain why there are black-and-white.

How to avoid Either-or-Reasoning:

Be open to other possibilities

Be open minded

Carefully provide and evidence to certain reasoning

Avoid coming as being bias

Do research

Don't be a penguin.
